Three people from the Willaston area have been charged and will appear in court this morning after what is understood to be an assault took place on Monday evening.
Police undertook forensic tests at a house in Peveril Road following the incident.
Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department are continuing their enquiries and anybody else who can help is asked to ring police headquarters on 631212, or Crimestoppers, 0800 555 111.
