Pews plan will help cathedral

Plans for the removal of pews at St German's cathedral in Peel mark a "real step forward" in the future use of the building.

The plans have been submitted to the Department of Infrastructure for consideration in what is a registered building.

Bishop Robert says people on the island are beginning to recognise that the cathedral is a national asset and the removal of some pews will make the building more versatile.
