Pinewood deal raised again in Tynwald questions

Treasury Minister Eddie Teare will face more questions about the government’s dealings with Pinewood studios later.

There are four queries on the subject tabled in Tynwald today.

Ministers will also be asked about pay rises for bus drivers, new laws governing landlords and recent livestock losses to snow.

Meanwhile, Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture will ask the court to approve spending £1.4 million on the food processing site in Peel.

Onchan MHK Peter Karran will open Tynwald questions, asking Chief Minister Allan Bell to regulate pay day loans.

The Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne will face two questions about the government’s planned help for farmers following the recent snowfalls, whilst North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson will ask Health Minister David Anderson about possible privatisation and contracting out at Noble’s Hospital.
