Plan in place to tackle backlog of registered building applications

DEFA minister admits they weren't doing it as quickly as they'd have liked

It's hoped additions to the planning department are helping with the backlog of registered building applications.

Three new officers were recruited back in May.

Registered Buildings are those identified as having special architectural or historical interest.

Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Clare Barber admits it's been taking too long to process the applications:
