Proposals out to consultation
Trucks and lorries parked in residential areas could soon be a thing of the past, under new rules proposed by the Department of Infrastructure.
The department has launched a five-week consultation into new regulations which – among other things – would allow heavy vehicles to be ticketed for parking illegally.
Minister Phil Gawne says he understands people feel strongly about the issue and he’s had a number of complaints to the department.
And by making it easier to take action, he hopes to put a stop to it:
Amber weather warning issued as strong winds and coastal conditions expected overnight
Hospice funding criticised by UK charity chief amid Isle of Man service cuts
Sailings cancelled as storm brings gale-force winds
Manx Mountain Marathon route diverted over safety concerns amid forecast strong winds
