Owners of Farrant's Fort want to repurpose barns on the land
A retrospective planning application has been submitted for 54 ground-mounted solar panels in Andreas (24/00710/B).
The owners are also hoping for approval for the erection of a multi-purpose agricultural shed (24/00709/B) and tourist accommodation (24/00708/B) in the field at Farrant's Fort.
They say they want all the buildings on the site to be as 'carbon neutral as possible and of a high standard' and 'are prepared to put in the time investment to achieve this'.
They add that the eco credentials 'will only increase the demand for the discerning tourist as well as being the right thing to do'.
All three applications are now pending consideration.
