Tenants say it would focus on lunch options and 'meals for tonight'

Planning permission is being sought by the new tenant of what was formally Bar George for a local produce shop.

Harbatta & Daugherty Ltd is taking over the Douglas building and wants to operate a 'convenience store' focussing on lunch options and 'meals for tonight'.

It says it will focus on meeting demand tailored to office workers, residents, and visitors in the surrounding area.

The applicant says that if approved it will help increase footfall in the area, regenerate an empty property and support the return to office-based working.

The application is currently pending consideration and can be found here
