Glen Truan proposals withdrawn
Proposals for a major tourist development in the north of the Island have been withdrawn.
A planning application for 55 holiday lodges at Glen Truan in Bride was submitted by Lancashire-based Pure Leisure Group last September.
The proposed development was due to be considered at an extraordinary meeting of the planning committee next week, which has now been cancelled.
A recent report by the Planning and Building Control Directorate recommended the application be refused.
The application is now listed on the government website as having been withdrawn today (7 June).
