It's claimed an Isle of Man Post Office pay and post self-service kiosk in the Henry Bloom Noble Library is proving popular with library users.
The council has entered into a partnership with Isle of Man Post Office to provide the automated post and payment machine which allows customers to send letters and cards, buy postage stamps, pay bills and access other services.
Borough librarian Jan Macartney says the debit card-only machine allows customers to pay their government rates and rent, Manx Telecom, Manx Utilities and Manx Gas bills and fixed penalty notices, as well as send letters and parcels up to a maximum weight of 5kg.
She adds the link-up with Isle of Man Post Office is the latest in a long line of developments to ensure the library takes full advantage of the latest digital technology and remains at the heart of the community.
