Local man transferred to UK for treatment as a result of his injuries
Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious incident on the Mountain Road last night (Thursday 30 April).
At 8.30pm officers were called to a single-vehicle crash in the area of the Creg-ny-Baa, which involved a motorbike being ridden by a local male resident.
The 43-year-old has been transferred to the UK for treatment as a result of his injuries.
The road remained closed for several hours while specialist collision investigators carried out their work.
While a number of witnesses have already been spoken to, police are also keen to speak to anyone else who saw the collision.
