Enquiries ongoing to determine the cause of death
Police have confirmed a body found on Douglas Beach yesterday (8 February) was that of a local woman.
There was a large emergency response in the area of Loch Promenade yesterday afternoon.
In a statement, the Isle of Man Constabulary says the next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Enquiries are currently ongoing to determine the cause of death and members of the public are being asked not to speculate.
