A police cordon has been put in place around part of a Douglas High School grounds this morning (Thurs 11)
A section of St Ninians High School has been closed-off to students and teachers with a number of police officers present.
No further details as to the nature of the operation have been made public at present, but it's being stressed there is no cause for alarm or any risk to public safety.
Isle of Man Constabulary have been contacted for comment.
The Department of Education has assured the public that there is no cause for alarm or risk to safety.
