Police are on the lookout for a substantially-damaged vehicle which crashed into and demolished a wall in Union Mills last night, before being driving off.
It happened at around 11.25pm when the vehicle, believed to be silver or grey, was travelling towards Peel on the main road.
It hit the garden wall of a house opposite the Railway Inn which, police say, will have caused significant damage to its front and rear.
Officers want to hear from the driver or anyone who either saw the collision, or a vehicle travelling at the time with the type of damage described.
Anybody with information is asked to ring Police Headquarters on 631212.
