Children caught 'abusing' the use of school properties during the summer holidays will be answerable to the police.
The warning comes after youngsters were seen playing on the roof of Onchan Primary School, and smashing windows at another.
The Department of Education, which has joined forces with police in the east of the Island to run a School Watch scheme, says those involved are risking death or serious injury to themselves and others.
Adults and children who see any suspicious behaviour are asked to ring the police straight away, on 631212, or the anonymous Crimestoppers number, which is 0800 555 111.
It's being stressed children and young people are allowed to use pitches and other school facilities for legitimate reasons.
