Police probe fly tipping

Police and staff from the Forestry Division and Local Government are investigating two incidents of fly tipping which have taken place in the last week.

The first happened last weekend when a quantity of builder's rubble including concrete, red brick and quarry stone, was dumped at the entrance to Kerrow-Dhoo Plantation located on the track out to Eary Cushlin.

On Friday morning, a large quantity of soil and rubble including builder’s sacks was found dumped in the car park at the entrance to Chibbanagh Plantation near to the Braaid roundabout.

Police say they would particularly like to identify the occupants of a white Ford Transit with a black flatbed seen in the South Barrule area on the morning of Friday, September 12.

The two men in the van were described as having Blackburn accents and aged in their mid 30’s.

Anyone who can help should ring Peel police on 842 208 and speak to Constable Ian Scott.
