A former pub landlord, whose last known address was in the Isle of Man, is being sought by North Yorkshire Police.
Fifty-four-year old Timothy Charles Sharp failed to turn up at Skipton Magistrates Court on Friday having been charged with arson with intent to destroy or damage property and being reckless with the life of another person.
In July of last year, he was seriously injured in a blaze at the Old Swan public house in Gargrave and had to be rescued from the roof of the property.
The eighteenth century pub, which was the village's oldest building, was completely destroyed.
