Thieves who stole a Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal collection box from a church have been branded 'despicable' by police.
It was taken from Braddan Church between 9am on Thursday and midday on Saturday (November 12).
An investigating officer said: 'This was a despicable and callous theft and I cannot understand why someone would commit such a terrible act.
'It is obvious the person who has done this has no respect.'
Anybody with information which could help the investigation is asked to ring Onchan Police Station on 675190, or the anonymous Crimestoppers line 0800 555 111.
