The officer who led the investigation into the nationalist graffiti campaign earlier this year is dismissing suggestions police were heavy-handed in their approach.
Some of those arrested and cautioned over the matter have claimed two 16-year-olds were held in cells and denied access to a lawyer or their parents.
However, Detective Inspector Phil Shimmin says that's incorrect, and the force is keen to establish clear lines of communication with those involved:
