Police urge parents to 'be intrusive' after incidents in Laxey

Anti-social behaviour causing issues in the village

Police are urging parents in Laxey to be 'intrusive' as to where their children are following recent incidents of anti-social behaviour.

This week alone a door in the village was kicked through and a separate assault left a victim with substantial injuries to their face.

Officers say they are aware of the issues, mainly during the evening and weekends, and will provide a policing presence to deal with the individuals responsible.

They add, in most cases it's the minority of youths causing issues and giving others a bad reputation.

Anyone with information as to the recent anti-social behaviour is asked to contact police headquarters on 631212.
