Police urge parents to work with them to tackle 'county lines' exploitation

Work to disrupt drug trafficking continues

Police have seized more cannabis on the Isle of Man in the past five months than they did in the whole of the last financial year.

That's according to the chief constable who says work to disrupt criminal gangs from trafficking drugs to the Island continues.

Gary Roberts believes exploitation of young and vulnerable people – caught up in 'county lines' activity – remains one of the ‘most significant’ issues for officers.

In his annual report he confirmed the ‘wickedness’ of criminal groups remained evident in the 12 months between 1 April 2021 and 31 March 2022.
