Constabulary urges gamers to be careful with personal data
The Island's police are urging gamers to be cautious as fraudsters are targeting those who play Fortnite.
The Isle of Man Constabulary's Police Early Action Team says the scam uses social media adverts offering free Vbucks, the currency used in the game.
However, when the gamer signs up, fraudsters will seek to access their account and create charges, or sign them up for premium rate subscriptions.
Officers are warning those who play the game, and those with children who play, to be careful with their personal data.
