Police warn violence towards taxi drivers won't be tolerated

Douglas man to appear in court next month

The police are warning violence towards taxi drivers won't be tolerated following an incident over the weekend.

Officers were called to Victoria Street on Saturday night following an incident over an unpaid fare.

The Isle of Man Constabulary says it fully supports taxi drivers, and that those being violent towards them will be dealt with.

A Douglas man will appear in court next month charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
