Police are repeating their message – motorists and bikers take care.
A road accident last night (Tuesday) near Orrisdale claimed the life of a visiting biker, who became the first person to die on the Island’s roads during Manx Grand Prix 2009.
Inspector Derek Flint says there’s more traffic about during the festival, visitors may not know the roads and locals shouldn’t be complacent when driving.
He says last night’s tragedy is a sharp reminder to people about the potential dangers they face.
