Police warnings given to Laxey Bay group

Officers working through list of people

Official warnings have been given to a number of people caught swimming together in Laxey Bay.

Police caught a group of around twenty people 'quickly dispersing' from the area yesterday morning.

The Constabulary believes it was an organised meeting, which is against Covid regulations, and says officers are now working through a list of those who were said to be at the scene.

Inspector Paul Kemp says the police don't want to have to arrest people but they will if rules continue to be broken:
