CM makes statement in the House of Keys
Howard Quayle insists any policy decision regarding anti-money laundering will be made in Tynwald - not Westminster.
He was speaking after recent proposals to impose sections of a UK Bill on the Isle of Man - which could've forced Manx officials create a public beneficial ownership register.
Responding to the matter, Mr Quayle said there is a lot of support for such registers among UK policymakers.
He moved to clarify the Island's position:
Vote on Castle Rushen High School funding 'very unlikely' before election
Ramsey Commissioners to host public meeting about cottage hospital
DfE provided more than £250,000 to MT to assist with below ground fibre installations
Man given suspended sentence after importing 2kg of cannabis to Island
