Politicians 'need to earn' public's trust

Social attitudes survey published

Politicians have much rebuilding work ahead to win the trust of the public, so says the Island’s Policy and Reform Minister.

A social attitudes survey commissioned by the Cabinet Office, has gauged feedback on a range of issues such as employment, housing, public services and leisure activities - along with a number of government policies.

Among the key findings, 40% of households have experienced at least two years of financial strain, while 53% of those questioned feel the impact of government policies upon their lives is negative.
