Improved lighting and public wi-fi for town
A major roadworks project in the south is due to be finished in time for TT.
The Port Erin regeneration scheme, which began in 2014, has seen reconstruction across Station Road, Orchard Road, Bridson Street and at the train station.
In addition to a 'more vibrant' and accessible central area, the town will also boast improved street lighting, CCTV systems and a public Wi-Fi connection.
Some businesses have also been given cash development grants in line with the scheme.
Though shops have remained open throughout, some owners have criticised the prolonged inconvenience it has caused in the town centre.
Port Erin Commissioners acknowledge it's been a 'difficult' time, but added the works had been 'necessary and long overdue'.
