Possible record breaker in Yorkshire

A Loaghtan lamb born on a farm in Raskelf, West Yorkshire, may enter the Guinness Book of Records as the smallest ever.

Newborns of the rare Manx breed are usually about 15 inches high, but this one measures just nine inches.

An informal enquiry to Guinness World Records has encouraged the owners of the farm, the Arrowsmiths, to get an official measurement of the lamb by a vet to see if she has a chance of beating the record.
