A new era for the post office in Ramsey should be a seamless change.
That’s the hope of the chairman of the town's commissioners, who was instrumental in retaining the post office in the town's courthouse.
Nigel Malpass was part of the Ramsey Co-operative Group, which opposed plans to transfer the service to a nearby Spar store.
It is now in discussions with Isle of Man Post and has set up a company to run the town office from September the first.
Mr Malpass says the community will benefit over time:
A public meeting updating residents on plans will be held on May 7th at Ramsey Grammar School.
