Power won't be cut if customers can't pay bills, says MU chair

Dr Alex Allinson advises people to get in touch if they're struggling

Manx residents won't be having their electricity cut off during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

That was the message from chair of Manx Utilities Dr Alex Allinson MHK during the daily Covid-19 media briefing.

He spoke of new measures introduced to help people at this time, including enabling electricity meters with a £30 emergency fund.

Anyone with concerns about bills can contact the Manx Utilities emergency line on 687687.
