Praise for Eco Day students

The One World Centre is praising the efforts of well over 100 pupils at QE2 High School who took part in a recent Eco Day.

Spokesperson Cheryl Cousins said: 'There was a real buzz about environmental issues from the students and teachers', and 'questions asked at the 16 environmental workshops showed great awareness and thoughtfulness.'

She continued: 'All the tutors were impressed with how the students listened to the issues and were able to identify changes they could make to their own lifestyles which would have a positive impact.

It's important students understand they can influence their families and friends too, and they can spread the information and ideas they help to generate.'

It was the fourth Eco Day organised through the One World Centre and gave year seven pupils a chance to learn about some of the environmental problems facing the planet, and come up with their own solutions.
