Extension to continue until emergency provisions are lifted
Government is to extend its pre-school voucher scheme, to ensure children of key workers can continue to receive daycare.
Nurseries, child minders and other child care providers are set to receive government funding throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
Additional vouchers will be issued to any child transferred to an alternative pre-school.
They will also be extended to the younger children (0-3) of key workers who attend approved Child daycare providers or childminders which are open. This provision will continue until emergency provisions are lifted.
Meanwhile, 3rd term payments will be brought forward, to be paid from the 1 April onwards.
Eligible parents and carers need to email Pre-SchoolCredit.DESC@gov.im to claim.
