Princess Anne visits Island today

Her Royal Highness is guest of honour at service of thanksgiving

The Princess Royal arrives in the Island this morning for a day of contrasting visits.

Princess Anne is patron of a £10 million appeal fund to renovate and extend St German's Cathedral in Peel and has come to view progress.

The princess is due to arrive in the Island at around 11.30am and her first port of call will be Triumph Actuation Systems' plant in Onchan.

The firm which has been at its site for 50 years, manufactures components for aircraft landing systems and has a worldwide client list.

General Manager Chris Allan says they plan to show the Princess the production line:

There's coverage of the Princess's visit throughout the day on Manx Radio.
