A charity that works with prisoners at Jurby prison has won a prestigious award recognising its efforts to rehabilitate inmates.
Prison Works will receive this year’s Robin Corbett Award for Prisoner Rehabilitation, beating competition from prisons across Britain.
The announcement will be made at a meeting of the All Parliamentary Penal Affairs Group at Westminster later.
The organisation helps criminals see the error of their ways through restorative justice, which means acknowledging their crimes and working to turn their lives around.
One of the judges, Lady Corbett, says she was impressed by the project:Clip 1
