
The Mountain Road is closed this morning (Tues) after 24 hours of continuous rain.
It's closed from the Lheaney Road in Ramsey through to Hilberry until at least midday.
The Creg ny baa back road, Lonan Old Church Road and the Tholt y will Road from Mountain Road to Sulby are also closed.
It's reported that there are large amounts of standing water on the Cronk y Voddy straight and the Peel Coast Road is said to be bad in places with some minor landslides from roadside hedges.
Police say road conditions remain poor with standing water in many places, but as it is impossible to check all the roads around the Island, people should take extra care on journeys this morning.
Drivers using back roads are advised to be very wary of any standing water as some puddles can be several feet deep and not safe to drive through.
In particular, river fords should be avoided - the Ford at Ballasalla was closed yesterday evening.
Police say members of the public should check with their Facebook or Twitter pages for updates. They say they're communication with the Department of Infrastructure and road closures and flood warnings being put in place where and when necessary.
