Concern over energy costs and labour shortages
The problems of rising costs and ongoing labour shortages are continuing to affect the Island's construction businesses.
The sector's representative body, Construction Isle of Man, says it welcomes the capping of electricity prices until March next year.
However, it says it remains concerned in the medium term over larger schemes - particularly in the civil engineering sector.
Chairman, Brian Butler, says this is reflected in the reluctance of firms to provide tenders for both private sector and government projects with a start date several months ahead:
