MHK raised concerns over lack of clarity in new legislation
Progress on new adoption laws for the Isle of Man has been delayed after one MHK described terminology used in the bill as 'problematic'.
The Adoption Bill 2021 was due to go through the clauses stage at this week's sitting of the House of Keys, but was paused after Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper raised concerns.
Health Minister David Ashford said he'll bring the clauses back once the difference between an adoption agency and an adoption society has been clarified.
