Emissions down 3.8 percent since 2018
Net Zero Isle of Man has published its latest report on progress towards the government's climate change transformation targets.
The document, which will be presented to Tynwald in July, sets out the ongoing targets and aspirations of the programme with evidence of progress to date in a number of areas.
Among the headline targets is the desire to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 35 percent by 2030.
However, progress to date has been slow with emissions down just 3.8 percent since 2018.
At the same time emissions in the energy sector have risen by 21 percent, largely driven by exports.
Meanwhile, the government says it remains committed to its decarbonisation goals and is making good progress in developing the evidence and plans needed to deliver them.
Reaching these targets requires 'careful planning', it says, to maintain energy security and ensure the right long-term decisions are made.
