The Isle of Man's work permit rules could be relaxed in a bid to stimulate economic development.
This month's sitting of Tynwald will be asked to approved a series of proposals which, among other things, would allow exemptions for categories such as trainers, consultants and inspectors for up to ten days a year.
The annual exemption for another category, intermittent workers for international companies, would be up to 48 days.
Trade and Industry Minister David Cretney says the proposals would help certain companies do business, and Isle of Man workers would be protected:
