Marown holding a by-election for new board member
A candidate in the upcoming Marown Commissioners by-election says she would try and help residents 'as much as possible' if elected.
Amanda Collister hopes to be able to work with neighbouring authorities and would support improvements to children's play areas and leisure areas.
She believes her experience on the board of Marown School Association will help her in the role if successful.
Local Democracy Reporter Emma Draper has been speaking to her:
There is one available seat following the resignation of John Lovelady last month - the other candidate is Oksana Hargreaves.
The by-election will take place on Thursday (8 October).
Residents will be able to vote between 8am until 8pm at Crosby Methodist Church Hall.
A requisition meeting is being held today (5 October) at Crosby Methodist Hall, from 7pm, for residents to meet the candidates and ask questions.
