Dr Parameshwaran Kishore has had to contact several off-Island news sites after they interpreted his appeal for people to have the flu vaccine to mean there was an outbreak of swine flu.
Dr Kishore was appealing to anyone over the age of 65, those with a chronic health condition and pregnant women to have the jab to protect them from developing serious complications.
