Public health urges people with chickenpox to stay at home

The disease is common and mild but highly contagious

Public Health Isle of Man has renewed calls for residents to remain at home if they have chickenpox.

The disease is common and mild but highly contagious.

Typical symptoms include an itchy rash which become small spots, a high temperature, aches and pains and a loss of appetite.

Dr Claire Walker is from Public Health Isle of Man.

She says children can sometimes feel more unwell than adults:
