Public invited to give views on plans for new primary school

Parents, pupils and the local community are invited to give their views on plans for a new primary school to replace two of the Island's oldest.

The new Noble's primary will bring together the current Ballacloan infants and Fairfield junior schools on the old Noble's hospital site in Westmoreland Road.

If the scheme gains Tywnald approval and planning permission the school is expected to open in September 2016.

Members of the public can view and comment on the plans next Wednesday at Fairfield Junior School.

Estates Director at the Department of Education Richard Collister says many new facilities including playing fields are included.

But he's welcoming comments and suggestions from the public:

You can view the plans at Fairfield Junior school between 3.30 and 7pm on Wednesday 17 July.
