Public meetings tonight

You can have your say on plans for the Isle of Man's first marine nature reserve this evening (Thursday).

The Department of Agriculture is hosting its latest public meeting.

It takes place at Laxey Football Club at 8pm.

Also this evening, Ramsey ratepayers will have the chance to raise matters directly with their commissioners.

The local authority’s latest political surgery takes place in the Town Hall between 7 and 8pm when you’ll be able to put questions to board members Nigel Malpass and Wilf Young.

The surgery will be based in the interview room on the ground floor.

It’s the final in a trial series of six surgeries being run by the commissioners, who will be reviewing the success of the venture at their March meeting.
