Post St Mary Commissioners holding AGM this week
Ratepayers must make their views known on a possible amalgamation with a neighbouring local authority, says the chairman of Port St Mary Commissioners.
Laurence Vaughan Williams is against a merger with Port Erin, but is imploring the public to speak out on the issue and let commissioners know how they feel.
The Port St Mary authority is holding its annual general meeting this Wednesday at 7pm in the town hall.
Mr Vaughan Williams says engagement on this and other issues is a must:
Main road between Peel and Douglas to shut for tree felling
'Targeted and intelligence led approach' to protect Island's borders during Irish sailings
Airport Director role advertised with top salary of £120,000
Traders on Michael Street feel 'abandoned' by politicians in tough times
