Callister wants to know why low-income earners can't qualify
An MHK is demanding a change to the thresholds for public sector housing.
Onchan member Rob Callister has written an open letter to the infrastructure minister saying the current limit on how much you can earn has been set too low.
He says a couple on minimum wage, without dependents, earn more than the threshold of £38,000 - subject to Tynwald approval, minimum wage could increase further from July.
Mr Callister says the current thresholds go against plans to grow the economically active population:
