A concerted effort is to be made in the next few months, after talks with the industry, to find places on lists for 'a significant number' of people.
Finding room for all those who want NHS attention has been a contentious issue for some time. Over the last two years, 6,500 people have been placed and the Government has argued that there has been a 'spectacular reduction in those numbers still waiting' compared to four years ago.
Whatever the position, there is emergency NHS treatment available for those who need it.
