Lords hearing for Manx Brexit concerns

IOM position post-Brexit 'unclear' - Quayle

Agriculture, trade, tax and immigration post-Europe came under the spotlight yesterday (Tue), when the Chief Minister faced questions from a House of Lords Select Committee on Brexit.

Howard Quayle joined Jersey and Guernsey leaders Ian Gorst and Gavin St Pier in Westminster, to discuss the impact of leaving the EU on the Crown Dependencies.

Mr Quayle assured Committee chair Lord Boswell that work was ongoing to secure the Island's relationship with the UK - and as a 'good neighbour' of Europe - once Article 50 is triggered.

The peers also acknowledged the Council of Ministers' three interim reports, produced over the course of the referendum campaign and beyond.

But Mr Quayle told the panel the Manx position is still largely unclear:
