Queenie limits to be assessed

Limits now being considered for next season

Most fisherman are on board with efforts to conserve queenie stocks in Manx waters.

That's the view of Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Geoffrey Boot, who's been speaking as the queen scallop fishing season draws to a close.

It finishes when a certain weight of catch, rather than a date, is reached.

Mr Boot says assessments will now take place as to what sort of limits will be set for next season.
