Former Douglas South MHK rules out standing in November
A former MHK says those ousted at the General Election shouldn't stand for Legislative Council.
Paul Quine was out-voted in Douglas South last month by Claire Christian and Sarah Maltby.
Two positions in LegCo have opened up after successful Keys campaigns from MLCs Jane Poole-Wilson and Kate Lord-Brennan.
With an election being held to fill the seats, on 23 November, Mr Quine says it isn't right for politicians to leave by one door and re-enter through another:
